Fall Kick Off

Heidi will be sending out an invite but hold the date for our Fall kick off meeting at my home in Alexandria (5901 Mount Eagle Drive) at 3:00 on Sunday September 27th. Look forward to seeing you all. Kearsley

Book Club

Our next book club selection is The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton, a Booker Prize winner set in New Zealand. For those interested, there is also a mini-series available for streaming on Amazon Prime.

I am planning for us to meet on Sunday, August 30th. While the location is still to be determined, I am considering hosting a tea at my house in D.C..

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

DBE will award four $500 scholarships annually. Recipients can be from any of the four DBE geographic Districts (Eastern, Western, Midwest, and Southern)

WHO MAY APPLY

Female students, 18 years of age or older, who are residents of the USA with Commonwealth of Nations ancestry.
Applicants must be a student at an accredited two or four-year college or university.
Applicants must have a college 3.0 GPA or better (students in the second semester of the Freshman year are eligible to apply.)
Applicants cannot be a State, Chapter, or Member-at-Large member of DBE.
